It has been a very long day. We went to Sparks Lane in Cade’s Cove at first light. An iconic location in the Smokies, the weather was very overcast – no classic sunrise with mist. I did shoot a number of HDR sequences that I will process once I get back home.
Today’s shot comes from the Cable Mill Historical area in Cade’s Cove. I took this shot just before the mill operator came by and started the water wheel. It was a difficult shot to get because I had to remain behind a fence and there were a number of trees with ivy that blocked most of the view. This is one of the shots I took into today’s review session. I hope you enjoy it.
Tomorrow morning we are leaving at 5am in order to get to Clingman’s Dome (the highest point in the park) in time for sunrise. The road up was closed part of today because of snow. Go figure ….
